Welcome!
Microsoft Outlook 2007 RPC Issue
Microsoft Outlook 2007

The issue with Outlook connecting using RPC over HTTPS appears to be only affecting those users that have laptops with the settings of using RPC over HTTPS. To correct this issue, you must reconfigure your Outlook client. Here's how:

Start by opening the control panel

Double-click on the Mail icon. If you don't see a mail icon, click on the link in the upper left-hand corner that says Switch to Classic View.

Click on the Email Accounts button.

When you are prompted for your username/password, click on the Cancel button.

You will then be prompted on how to connect. Select Work Offline.

Select Microsoft Exchange and click on Change.

Click on More Settings.

Click on Exchange Proxy Settings on the Connection tab.

Change the second textbox to read msstd:mymail.ad.rit.edu instead of msstd:mymail.rit.edu.

Click OK and you are all set. Now you should be able to open Outlook.
