Over the past year, a new browser has emerged and proven to be more reliable and secure than Microsoft's Internet Explorer. That browser is Mozilla's Firefox. While no browser provides complete protection, Firefox seems to do a better job.

COB Tech Support strongly recommends that all users use Firefox when possible. There are a few web sites out there that require Internet Explorer, but when you can, use Firefox.

Because there is no one browser that is 100% safe, it is still important that you surf the web with caution. Never go to a web site unless you are sure it is a safe site. Never divulge person information on a web site unless you are absolutely, positively sure it is legitimate. Don't be fouled by web sites that look like other web sites. Check the address bar to make sure you are were you intended to be.
