Accessing the H: and P: drives from home
In order to access both the H: and P: drives from home, you will need to install the RIT VPN Client.
Download the RIT VPN Client from ITS's web site at http://www.rit.edu/its/services/vpn/.
Start by using the RIT VPN Client to establish a secure connect to RIT. Without the secure connection, you will not be able to connect to the H: and P: drive. To establish the connection, click on the RIT VPN Client icon located in your Start Menu.
Select from where you are connecting, RIT Off Campus or RIT On Campus and the click Connect.

Enter your RIT Computer Account username and password and
click OK.
Click here for user account questions.

Once you are connected, click Continue.

When you are finished using the RIT VPN Client, click on the link in the Start Menu again and then click Disconnect.

Now that you have established a secure connection to RIT, you can connect to the H: and P: drive. If you are using a Saunders Laptop, there will be an icon on your desktop called h_&_p_drives.bat. Double-click on that file and it will connect you to the H: and P: drives. If you don't have that file on your laptop, see Tech Support to get a copy.
