Hiding and showing hidden files
By default, Windows is configured to hide hidden files. If you wish to see the hidden files, or hide them if they are shown, start by opening My Computer and clicking on Folder Options under the Tools menu.
Click on the View tab and scroll down until you find the radio buttons for Do not show hidden files and folders and Show hidden files and folders.
Select which option you want and then click OK.
